Mexico became the first CONCACAF team to win the FIFA Under-17 World Championship after defeating defending champions Brazil 3-0 in the final at the Estadio Nacional on Sunday.
Approximately 40,000 fans watched the Mexicans take a 2-0 halftime lead over the samba kings on goals by Carlos Vela and Omar Esparza in the 31st and 33rd minutes, respectively.
Ever Guzman closed out the scoring with four minutes remaining in the match as Mexico claimed their second-ever FIFA tournament title.

Canada's under-20 women's soccer team continued its run towards another CONCACAF title with a 3-2 victory over host Mexico on Sunday.
Canada topped Group A and now awaits a semifinal opponent.
Kara Lang from the Vancouver Whitecaps scored seconds into the match, and captain Sophie Schmidt, also from the Whitecaps, made it 2-0 with a goal 15 minutes later.

Exchange brings exhibit of art from Mexico
The first art exchange between Austin and its sister city of Saltillo, Mexico, has opened at Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin.
"Hermanados en el Arte 2005: Austin/Saltillo" has had a short stay at Mexic-Arte, closing there today before reopening at the nearby La Peña center Dec. 2. It will remain at La Peña through Dec. 31.
The exhibit, whose title translates as "Friendship in the Arts," features more than 40 works by 15 artists in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.
