Sigalsport enters Mexico City event
Sigalsport has recently acquired several PTG BMW M3s and one of the BMW M3s will be co-driven at Mexico City by Gene Sigal and Matt Alhadeff.
The Sigalsport BMW M3 Alhadeff Companies / Guarneros Racing Wear / Motul / GlycoMax / The Speed Gallery / Envista No. 05 will be the only BMW car to compete in the final round of the 2005 Rolex Sports Car Series. The BMW M3 has won seven Rolex Series GT races this season and its PTG BMWdrivers have scored six pole positions.
Sigalsport’s BMW team will race at Mexico with the ambition to win and will try to score their first ever podium finish in the Rolex Series GT class.
Sigalsport will be assisted by PTG BMW team technicians for this race to make sure we put all chances on our side to score big in Mexico. Prototype Technology Group has been BMW’s primary U.S. motorsports research and development team for the BMW M3 since 1995. In 2004, the team fielded three BMW M3s in the GT class of the Rolex Sports Car Series, sweeping the Manufacturer, Driver and Team championships.

Mexico pig manure project enters Kyoto pollution scheme
A scheme to cut greenhouse gas emissions from pig manure has become Mexico's first project to win approval under the Kyoto Protocol rules on investing in poor countries, the project's developer said on Tuesday.
The scheme, which covers 23 farms, has gained United Nations registration under Kyoto's Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), said Ireland-based AgCert International in a statement.
"We are delighted to be the first company to have a CDM project registered in Mexico and we will now be moving toward certification as soon as possible," said AgCert's chief executive officer Bill Haskell.

Hurricane Katrina enters the Gulf of Mexico

MEXICO CITY - The United States has agreed with a request from Mexico to not prosecute undocumented Mexican migrants affected by Hurricane Katrina who recur to U.S. officials for help, President Vicente Fox said Friday.
"We have agreed with the government of the United States that those who were not documented at the time will not be subject to any pressure or persecution whatsoever," Fox said during a government event Friday afternoon.
"In this way, they can receive help from the American authorities, they can approach the authorities to point out what they've lost and, above all, to ask for support."
