Mexico City (Spanish: Ciudad de México) is the federal capital of, and largest city in, Mexico. It geographically spans the north portion of the Distrito Federal ("D.F."), although the metropolitan area extends to the state of México to the north of the Federal District, and to the state of Hidalgo. According to government statistics Mexico City is the largest most populous conurbation in North America, and third in the world, after Tokyo, and Sao Paulo, with approximately 22.1 million people. Though its urban area is the third most populous in the world, what is officially known as Mexico City (under the limits of the Federal District) is the most populous city in the world; that is, the greatest number of people governed by one mayor.
Mexico City is centered at geographic coordinates 19°24′ N 99°9′ W in south central Mexico. Greater Mexico City forms a rough ellipse 40 km (24.9 mi.) east to west and 60 km (37.3 mi.) north to south and has a total area of approximately 5,000 km² (1,391 mi.²), making the urban area one of the largest in the world.

León (formally: León de las Aldamas) is the most populous city in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. It was founded on 20 January 1576. The city of León is located at 21°12′ N 101°69′ W.

Tuxtla is derived from the Nahuatl word Tuchtlan, which means "place where there are lots of rabbits." Gutierrez signifies JoaquÃn Miguel Gutiérrez, a Mexican revolutionary from the 19th century.

Toluca is a city in México State in central Mexico, at 19.29°N, 99.67°W. It is the capital of the state of México. In 2003 Toluca had an estimated population of about 475,000 people. It is only 45 minutes drive from Mexico City and 30 minutes from its fast growing suberb, Santa Fe. The climate is cold, keeping in view its altitude. It is an important industrial center. It has excellent educational facilities, including a campus of the famous 'Tec de Monterrey' or ITESM. The Municipality of Metepec adds another 450,000 to the population and directly borders the city of Toluca.
