Body Is That of Model; Lover May Be in Mexico
A decomposing body found at a storage facility was identified Friday as that of a 21-year-old aspiring model whose millionaire lover has vanished.
Iryna Singerman’s body and purse were found in the bed of a pickup owned by her lover, Brian Joseph Cullen, 59, authorities said. Police believe Cullen has gone to Mexico.
A cause of death had not been determined, Los Angeles County coroner’s Lt. David Smith said.

The risk that Tropical Storm Ophelia will enter the Gulf of Mexico and threaten the U.S. oil and natural gas rigs over the next several days declined as the storm strengthened off the east coast of Florida.

Police discovered the body of a young girl on Thursday that had been stuck inside a suitcase and left on a busy sidewalk in Mexico City.
Investigators were working to identify the girl, thought to be between 5 and 6 years old, and establish the cause of death, a police spokeswoman said.

Investigators in Mexico recovered evidence from the body of an Ontario woman who was brutally slain along with her husband at a luxury resort, media reports say.
The Toronto Sun is reporting that investigators lifted traces of hair from Nancy Ianiero's hand before her body was returned to Canada.
Ianiero, 55, and her husband Dominic, 59, had their throats slashed last month at a five-star resort on the Mayan Riviera, where they had gone to attend their daughter's wedding.

Colton Pitonyak, 22, remained jailed in Eagle Pass. He will be sent back to Austin to face a murder charge in the death of 21-year-old Jennifer Cave, of Corpus Christi, said Austin Police Chief Stan Knee. Investigators have not said what motivated the slaying.

Mexico copter crash called accident
All available evidence on Thursday suggested bad weather led to a helicopter crash that killed a Cabinet minister overseeing federal police and his deputy, the president's office announced.
